Brace yourselves, coffee lovers, because we're about to seriously debunk some myths.

You've probably read the exciting rumors about a brand new Starbucks megastore coming to New York City (and beyond). Caffeine fans were, naturally, very jazzed about this news. Giant Starbucks! What more could a person want?

Well, it turns out that those rumors were just that. In fact, it's a total over-exaggeration, so say goodbye to your dream of a Costco-sized Starbucks.

According to a Starbucks spokesperson, all the "rumors and speculation" got started after the company's 2016 Q1 earnings call, in which the brand discussed all sorts of news and expansions coming down the pipeline. Word quickly (falsely) spread that Starbucks would be bringing a Roastery—that amazing shrine to coffee that Seattle residents are so lucky to enjoy—to the Big Apple. As it turns out, there are plans to bring a location to Asia, but that's it as far as anything solid.

But don't worry, because there is at least some good news coming out of all this. What the company will be doing is building over 500 coffee-forward Starbucks Reserve stores in different locations across the globe. That means, in layman's terms, small-batch coffee coming out that the aforementioned Roastery in Seattle. So you'll still get to enjoy super delicious fancy-schmancy drinks, it just won't be in a warehouse full of coffee lovers.

You win some, you lose some.
