Can a has-been advise an almost has-been? It's our latest Awful Truth mission to find out! So we eagerly headed over to The Wrestler premiere in Bev Hills last night.

We just had to ask newly reminted comeback kid and Wrestler star Mickey Rourke what advice he would give near-miss babes like Britney Spears, who are so impressively trying to finagle big career rebirths right now.

Here's what the seen-it-all (and then some) celeb said, specifically, about our beloved and troubled Brit-Brit:

Mickey Rourke: Don't do what I did. It's a business. You have to be a professional, you have to be accountable and you have to understand there are repercussions. I wasn't any of those things, and I paid the price for it.

Awful Truth: Britney sure has, too, man!

M.R.: Yeah, I have a lot of regrets. I didn't have the tools to understand it at the time, and now I do. So I can't go backward and make any more mistakes. I feel very blessed I've been given a second chance. I'm very thankful.

Hear that, Brit? We suggest you listen up. And even though we're sure Mr. R didn't mean to be so damn pushy about it or anything (all those "have tos," oh my), what we have here is an ef-up who's totally seen the errors of his supermessy ways—fist fighting everything that walks, for starters.

And he's taking responsibility for his dubious actions, not blaming mom or the ex or anybody. Amazing things occur when that kind personal revelation takes place, promise.
