Reality show season finale tops Tuesday in the 18-49 demo; Momma's Boys struggles in premiere

Tuesday's Big Winners: An all-new NCIS (19.9 million viewers, per Nielsen estimates) was the most-watched show. The season finale of NBC's The Biggest Loser: Families (11.7 million) scored the most adults 18-49.

That's How You're Supposed to Do It: CBS' The Mentalist (19.3 million) held onto nearly all of NCIS' lead-in audience and grew the network's rating in the demo.

That's How You're, Um, Not Supposed to Do It: The premiere of  the Ryan Seacrest-produced reality show Momma's Boys (6.1 million) lost almost half of lead-in Biggest Loser's overall audience and about 45 percent of its 18-49 audience.The show moves to Mondays next week.

Fringe Benefit: With Momma's Boys sidelining Law & Order: SVU at 10 p.m., CBS' Without a Trace (14.5 milion) bulked up by about 2 million viewers over its season average.

Yes, the Audience Can Tell the Difference: On ABC, an all-new According to Jim (5.1 million) at 9 p.m. outdrew a rerun (4.5 million) at 9:30 p.m. 

The Biggest Rerun: Yet another ABC offering of A Charlie Brown Christmas (8.3 million) easily bested the numbers put up by Fox's and the CW's all-old lineups.
