Chatting with Giuliana Rancic on E!'s Live From the Red Carpet at 22nd Screen Actors Guild Awards, Silverman, nominated for her dramatic turn in I Smile Back, admitted she felt her 2014 Emmy win was "overshadowed" after revealing she had pot in her purse to the E! host on the red carpet. "I didn't bring a purse this time," she said. "I didn't want to be overshadowed. Last time I showed you my purse…everyone noticed I had weed in my purse. I won that Emmy that year...and I was totally overshadowed!"
So, at the 2016 SAG Awards, Silverman decided to have her Masters of Sex beau Michael Sheen handle her weed for her, joking, "My boyfriend is smuggling it in his rectum!"
Well, then!
Back in 2014, when Silverman won for her fabulously NSFW Sarah Silverman: We Are Magic HBO standup special, opened her purse for E!'s "Clutch Cam" to show off her contraband.
"This is my pot. Liquid pot," she said at the time, pulling out a small vaporizer pen. "This is what everything's really supposed to be in," she then showed off an even smaller clutch. "Money, lipstick, a little mirror, my license—what if I need my license?!"
Rocking a fitted Vivienne Westwood gown at the SAG Awards, Silverman was excited to reference one of the designer's most iconic looks: Carrie Bradshaw's Sex and the City wedding gown, excitedly gushing over the fact that she was wearing the same designer that "Carrie wears to her wedding! Although that didn't go well, but still!"
Here's hoping it goes better for the nominated star!
