Now these performances deserve an Oscar nomination.

Thanks to the magic of the Internet, a grey screen and a bevy of A-list actors are all it takes to transport back in time to the bygone Civil War era of Gone With the Wind.

For a solid three minutes, nearly thirty Hollywood stars—many of them esteemed Golden Globe nominees and winners—give it their best college try when they take turns reenacting the 1939 award-winning film's signature scene.

For those who have not sat through the nearly four hour drama, allow us to offer a brief synopsis: Scarlett O'Hara (played by Vivien Leigh) is a Southern vixen in the midst of unrequited love. Rhett Butler (played by Clark Gable) is a wealthy and rugged black sheep in the deep South who has his eyes set on Scarlett.

Fast forward through the Civil War and its aftermath, the two marry and endure several moments of tragedy until (spoiler alert) Rhett leaves her, delivering the iconic line, "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn" as he walks out of her life.

Gable was nominated for an Oscar for his portrayal and, judging by Amy Schumer's recreation of the signature line, she absolutely should be, too—even if she takes the creative liberty of turning the Southern soldier into a dramatic Brit.

Not all of the silver screen stars in the video took the same approach to the famous phrases. Carey Mulligan, Charlize Theron and Alicia Vikander took a smoldering approach to the scenes, serving serious fierceness as they smized into the camera upon delivery of the lines.

Brooklyn's Saoirse Ronan and comedian Kristen Wiig were sassy in their approach to the scenes, while Room's 9-year-old Jacob Tremblay's delivery was just downright adorable.

For an Oscar winner and fellow nominee, Eddie Redmayne and Bradley Cooper completely missed the mark. Gentlemen, have you even seen the film classic?

Thankfully, film veterans Jane Fonda and Samuel L. Jackson were there to raise the bar, offering up some comical variety expected of the accomplished thespians.

Still, Schumer takes the cake as the clear winner of this montage—and continues to rank number one on the list of celebrities we want as our best friend.
