Jason Merritt/Getty ImagesBrie Larson was totally "cruising" on the 2016 Golden Globes red carpet, all thanks to pal Emma Stone. Larson, who stars in Room and received a Best Actress in a Drama Film nomination, revealed Stone gave her quite the pep talk before she hit the red carpet.
"I spoke with Emma Stone before and she gave me a pep talk. I was like, 'I don't know what to expect,' and she and she was like, 'You're going to have the best time. You're inside the TV," she told Ryan Seacrest on E!'s Live From the Red Carpet. "So I just keep standing here going, 'I am totally inside the TV right now.' I watched this since I was kid."
For her performance in Room, Larson said she spoke with doctors, nutritionists and trauma specialists to get her character's mental and physical state, but another key to the performance was her costar Jacob Tremblay.
As for her red carpet look, Larson was in custom Calvin Klein, it was a bit heavy, "but in a great way," she said. "I feel like I'm in a hug constantly," she said, describing it as Joan of Arc armor.
