Is it the year 2000 all over again?!

It was the new millennium when 'N Sync debuted its now-famous music video for "It's Gonna Be Me," which featured the boy band members transformed into plastic dolls trying to break free from their boxes. Now, Fall Out Boy and Demi Lovato are spoofing the classic performance in their own music video for "Irresistible."

The punk rock band and pop star teamed up with director Wayne Isham, who also directed the video for "It's Gonna Be Me," for their newest creation. But in this edition, the men of FOB are the toy dolls and Lovato plays the store clerk who discovers them in action, Toy Story style.

Unlike the "Bye Bye Bye" crooners, Pete Wentz, Patrick Stump and the rest of the group play are outcast dolls that are tossed aside in a toy store, which receives its shipments from Lovato and Chris Kirkpatrick! These dolls break out and are discovered by Lovato, who shows them to the store clerk played by real-life 'N Sync member Joey Fatone!

Dressed in a racy, low-cut candy-stripe dress, Lovato, now a sales girl, watches the FOB dolls perform before they scamper off with the Barbies. The group blogged about its decision to pay homage to the teen pop sensations and explained how it came to the creative decision. "I was looking back at the video for 'it's gonna be me' — where they come to life as dolls—and we thought was there an analog to this story?" the band wrote.

"Like somewhere in that same store was there a dollar bin full of toy that no one really wanted? That would band together like the misfit, offbrand little outsiders they were. The toys no one ever wanted come to life. Where would our band have fit in that story?"
