Well, at least now we now who the second verse is about.

Carly Simon did always sing, "You probably think this song is about you," so it's only fair that the megahit would end up having multiple subjects. But now Simon reveals to People magazine that one of the subjects is Warren Beatty.

"I have confirmed that the second verse is Warren," she tells the magazine ahead of the release of her memoir, Boys in the Trees. Don't worry, she reveals that he knows he has his own verse, but makes sure to throw in a little jab.

"Warren thinks the whole thing is about him!" Simon jokes.

For some insight, here are the lyrics to the verse in question:

You had me several years ago when I was still quite naive

Well you said that we made such a pretty pair

And that you would never leave

But you gave away the things you loved and one of them was me

I had some dreams, they were clouds in my coffee

Simon, 70, has since become a mother and a grandmother since the release of her song 44 years ago, but still hasn't come clean with the public about the other two mystery subjects. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like we'll be getting any answers anytime soon because when asked if she would ever confess she says, "I don't think so. At least until they know it's about them."

Other suspects (AKA former lovers) include Mick Jagger, Cat Stevens and Kris Kristofferson. The song has stood the test of time, but Simon admits she doesn't understand why people are so desperate to know the whole truth behind "You're So Vain."

"Why do they want to know?" she asks. "It's so crazy!"

Probably because it's one of the industry's best kept secrets. Just come clean with the other two please, Carly, so the rest of the world can stop guessing.

Carly Simon might not be gushing about some of her exes, but Sandra Bullock can't help but smile at her current relationship status. Watch the video to see her adorable moment.
