As the former Los Angeles Lakers basketball player remains in a rehabilitation unit at a Los Angeles hospital, a source confirms to E! News that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were able to visit Sunday afternoon.
In an added surprise, the couple brought along North West making it one of the first times Lamar has met Kimye's baby girl in person.
E! News has also learned that this weekend's visit was Kanye's first time seeing Odom in the hospital. The entire family was able to spend a few hours with him before returning home.
During a recent interview with On Air With Ryan Seacrest, Kim was asked about Odom's progress ever since he was found unconscious at a legal Nevada brothel in October. In honest candor, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star admitted that there is still a long road to recovery.
"He's here and he's alive, but to say it's not a long road and to say he's fully better is not the truth either," she told Ryan Seacrest. "He has a lot of work to do and a lot of communication therapy and having to learn to walk again and to talk again."
She continued, "You never know if he'll ever be the same again."
As Odom continues "making small steps" in his recovery, Khloe Kardashian and her family continue to remain supportive and encouraging towards the famous athlete.
"Lamar is family and he'll always be family, we'll always do what we can to help take care of him, and protect him, and be there for him," Kim explained. "It's a really unfortunate, sad situation all the way around the board, and I just encourage people to keep on praying because the road is nowhere near over."
