Watch: Donald Trump Gushes Over Wife and Kids

When he's not talking about governmental reform in America, Donald Trump is gushing about his family.

E! News caught up with the presidential hopeful in New York this morning where Trump was holding a press conference for his latest book, Crippled America: How To Make America Great Again, and the Republican candidate had some very kind words to say about his kids, including pregnant daughter Ivanka Trump, and wife, Melania.

"Ivanka's been outstanding and my children have been excellent, and they really love to work very hard," he tells us. "And Ivanka's having her third baby, and I'm very excited about that. She's a wonderful mother and she's really been a role model for a lot of women."

Speaking of being a role model, Trump states that his wife would be a great First Lady if given the opportunity.

"Melania's been great. She will be phenomenal if she's given the position as First Lady, I will tell you that. She will be," he tells E! News. "She's got such a great heart. She's very smart, so we'll see how it all works out."

Until we find out whether or not that's going to happen, Trump has taken it upon himself to share his viewpoints on how to make America great again with his latest book. Crippled America explores his view on key issues including the economy, big CEO salaries and taxes, healthcare, education, national security, and social issues. One unsurprisingly big topic discussed will be his vision for complete immigration reform, beginning with securing the borders and putting American workers first.

"I am excited to announce that work on my new bestseller is almost done and I'll have a new book out from Threshold Editions and Simon & Schuster later this year," he said in a statement in September. "Not since The Art of the Deal have I had this much fun writing a book."
