After a five month engagement, Noah Galloway and Jamie Boyd have decided to part ways.

The former Dancing With the Stars contestant announced via social media that the two were not going to be tying the knot after their romantic proposal on live television.

"After long and careful consideration, we've decided to end our engagement," the 33-year-old wrote alongside a shot of the duo on Instagram.

"We love each other deeply and we're confident we will remain friends. While we wanted to share this with you, we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time."

The exes made headlines last May when Galloway popped the big question during the semifinals episode of DWTS after he and partner Sharna Burgess wowed the judges with a dance to David Cook's "Time of My Life."

"Jamie, the moment that you surprised me on the show was one of the most amazing moments that I've ever had. This song, the 'Time of My Life,' you've given that to me," Galloway told an understandably stunned Boyd backstage. After taking her hand and getting down on one knee, he said, "I've got to do this here, because... Would you marry me?"

Boyd replied with a resounding yes and added, "I'm speechless—and I'm never speechless! Oh, baby, I love you so much."
