The drama! The pain! The agony of defeat! The MLB playoffs can sure make for some intense moments of television, but we're not talking about the actual game.

We're talking about this particular member of the Kansas City Royals grounds crew who took on a runaway field tarp…and lost.

While unrolling the tarp during Thursday night's American League Division Series opener between the Royals and Astros at Kauffman Stadium, this high school student was just trying to do his job when the tarp decided it needed to feed on the flesh of youths. There is a moment where you think this spry, athletic kid will get away from the tarp, but alas, he gets swallowed up and taken down to the ground.

Thankfully, the other members of the grounds crew were able to stop the tarp before it covered him completely, and the Kansas City Star reports that medical personnel checked him out after the incident and he was unharmed.

And more good news, he instantly became a viral sensation. Twitter just loved #TarpGuy:

And obviously, a Kansas City Royals Tarp Twitter account was created shortly after the guy went viral:

Basically, if this dude represents you, then the field tarp represents your boss when they remind you that you have to work late on a Friday:
