No question: Kanye West is a fan of Caitlyn Jenner

Back in April, the 65-year-old E! star revealed in her interview with Diane Sawyer that daughter Kim Kardashian was "by far the most accepting" of her transition, thanks to some words of wisdom spoken by husband Kanye West.

Six months after Jenner's landmark interview special aired, we now have further insight in to the 38-year-old rapper's feelings towards Caitlyn, and the soon-to-be father of two continues to sing her praises.

"You know the first thing I did think about is I thought about black radio hosts maybe, possibly, making jokes about it because the black culture is generally so homophobic," West said in his interview for SHOW studio's "In Camera" series when asked, "How did you feel when you heard that your stepfather was going to transition and become a woman?"

He continued, recalling his prediction that the "news cycle" would highlight the fact that "this rapper has this transgender person in his family."

But in typical West fashion, he chose to ignore any criticism.

"But then it was like, 'F--k what people say. F--k what people think,'" the rapper admitted before applauding his in-law and fellow family members. "I just feel so proud to be in a family that has so many people breaking ground for the generations to come...I feel proud… that I can be next to a wave of 'this is who I am.' And that is all I'm about."

West further explained his point of view by presenting a traffic analogy and mused that many are stuck in a gridlock of public opinion.

"To let your life be controlled by public opinion would be like asking to sit in traffic for the rest of your life," he said. "Meaning, you want to turn this way, but there's a car right here that says this… That's public opinion….And Bruce just got off [at] the exit sign and drove as fast as he wanted."

Upon calling Caitlyn 'Bruce,' he immediately corrected himself and apologized for his error.

"Oh, I'm sorry. It's disrespectful to use that name. I'm sorry," West said before admitting, "I'm still getting acquainted with what's politically correct and not politically correct, because it's new, it's modern."

North West's father concluded by applauding the forward-thinking of today's top influencers.

"This is like Roman times…We've finally taped into the type of technology and acceptance and thought that we need to," he said. "Look at the new pope…it's a bunch of dope motherf--kers that are just pushing towards the future."

Not sure how Pope Francis feels about that label, but we think West is speaking the truth.
