You talkin' to me?!

Tom Hiddleston is known for his celebrity impressions and took on a bold challenge during his appearance on The Graham Norton Show on Friday: He did his best Robert De Niro...to De Niro's face.

The Avengers and Thor hottie, who is promoting his latest film Crimson Peak, re-enacted the iconic restaurant scene from the 1995 crime film Heat, reciting both the actor and co-star Al Pacino's lines.

"You know, we are sitting here, you and I, like a couple of regular fellas," he says, mimicking Pacino's raspy voice. "You do what you do, and I do what I gotta do. And now that we've been face to face, if I'm there and I gotta put you away, I won't like it. But I'll tell you, if it's between you and some poor bastard whose wife you're gonna turn into a widow, brother, you are going down."

"What if you do got me boxed in and I gotta put you down?" he says as De Niro's character. "'Cause no matter what, you will not get in my way. We've been face to face, yeah. But I will not hesitate. Not for a second."

De Niro, who is promoting his latest film The Intern, said that was his favorite scene in Heat. Hiddleston then reenacted another one.

Graham Norton had asked De Niro earlier how he feels about people doing impressions of him.

"I kind of enjoy it, especially if they do it well," he replied. "So, no, it's great. I love it."

Hiddleston also did impressions of Owen Wilson, with whom he starred in Woody Allen's 2011 movie Midnight in ParisChristopher Walken and the host.

During the show, Hiddleston and director Kenneth Branagh, who was sitting next to him, spoke about how the actor originally auditioned for the part of Thor in Thor before he was cast as his brother, the villain Loki.

Branagh said the star "wowed the room" as Loki and as Thor. Video of Hiddleston's screen test is featured on the Thor: The Dark World Blu-ray.
