Having an intern is a life-changing experience. You get to mold a young mind! You get to be a mentor to the next generation! You get to have a personal Starbucks delivery person!

So that last one may be a bit frowned upon in some offices, but it's kind of a rite of internship passages to do endless coffee runs. But now Starbucks has given us a way to get coffee without having to stand in annoying lines and without having to feel guilty for giving that poor 21-year-old an endless list of complicated latte orders.

That's all thanks to the coffee shop's most recent app update; they just introduced mobile ordering. We repeat: mobile ordering. For those of you who have gone into shock, let us remind you that means you will now be able to place your order on your phone without talking to or interacting with any humans.

The way it works is simple. You plug your Pumpkin Spice Latte (because obviously) into the Starbucks app and then it counts down the minutes until your drink is ready. You will still have to walk to the coffee shop yourself, but your delicious and piping hot drink will be waiting for you upon arrival. Your name will also be spelled right, which is a huge plus for those of us who use more than a single letter in our monikers.

This feature has already been in a few test markets in the northeast, and Starbucks reports that average wait times have been three to four minutes. Just think of all the extra time you'll have to scroll through Instagram or send super annoying Snapchats.

And of course, there's the obvious sanity saver for the intern population, but let's be honest: We're all thinking about ourselves in this anyway.
