These Leaked Ashley Madison Passwords Are Hilarious...in a Depressing Kind of Way

But they're also kind of funny.

If you thought you were finally done reading about all the Ashley Madison leak revelations, well...sorry.

But we just couldn't resist sharing this latest information. Just like everything else that's come to light about the company's users, this new insight is both depressing and hilarious—hilarious because of how confident the men on this site were that they were conducting these would-be affairs in secrecy (cough Josh Duggar cough), and depressing because duh. This is infidelity we're talking about.

A company called CynoSure Prime (we know, we know) decided to comb through all of the leaked information and pull out user passwords. That seems like a pretty dull task, but what they found is actually extremely entertaining. (And, again, depressing). The funniest password found? "isthisreallyhappening." The most depressing? "ithinkilovemywife." We told you, it's a roller coaster of emotions.

CynoSure Prime also discovered that users seem to flock to several different categories of passwords: Those who are having doubts about using the site, those who are in denial about using the site, those who confused Ashley Madison with Tinder and those who somehow think their secrecy is iron-clad. See below for a little sampling:

Doubts:
ishouldnotbedoingthis
ithinkilovemywife
thisiswrong
whatthehellamidoing
whyareyoudoingthis
cheatersneverprosper
donteventhinkaboutit
isthisreallyhappening

Denial:
likeimreallygoingtocheat
justcheckingitout
justtryingthisout
goodguydoingthewrongthing

Accidental Tinder Users:
lookingfornewlife
friendswithbenefits

Iron-Clad Secrecy:
youwillneverfindout
youwillnevergetthis
secretissafewithme

So what did we collectively learn from these leaked passwords? Not a whole lot, other than a reminder that cheating sucks, and men are weird.
