Hollywood news source Entertainment Weekly has released its picks for the Top 25 Entertainers of the Year, but 2008’s list of talent has scholars and academics baffled. While the rankings include individuals such as Robert Downey Jr., Tina Fey and Meryl Streep, it also mentions groups of people in single positions.

“It’s incredible,” stated Dr. Gleason Kent of the California Institute of Calculating to Soup Blog sources. “It’s a static grouping of 25 persons, yet at position eight they list the women of Sex and the City, who are four in number. At number three is the entire cast and crew of The Dark Knight, well over 300 people, and at number twenty is Facebook. This means the number of Top 25 Entertainers of the Year is actually well into the millions,” continued a stunned Kent.

“Clearly, the minds at Entertainment Weekly are operating on an advanced form of transfinite calculation theory. If others adopt this system, it could throw Hollywood list making—not to mention counting as we know it—into utter chaos.”
