Hours after E! News confirmed the Little Mix singer and the former One Direction star had called off their engagement, the 22-year-old Edwards, along with bandmates Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jesy Nelson and Jade Thirlwall, sat down for an interview with E! News in Los Angeles. The blond stunner was not only a consummate professional, but also had a giant smile on her face.
"I'm good, thank you," Edwards replied when asked how she's doing following the split.
Malik, 22, and Edwards got engaged in August 2013 after a little more than a year of dating. Earlier this year, Malik shot down rumors that he had cheated on his fianceé shortly before he parted ways with his chart-topping boy band.
As for how Perrie's coping in the wake of the public split?
Despite reports that claim she's "devastated," we're told the young star's breakup is for the best.
"Her friends are rallying around her. She's doing fine," a source tells E! News. "They split a few weeks ago. Her close friends have told her she's better off without him."
"He hasn't treated her right for a long time," the insider says, adding that Perrie "is doing great."
Meanwhile, the girl group, whose new album Get Weird debuts Nov. 6, is currently in Los Angeles ahead of the Teen Choice Awards, which air Aug. 16.
"Phwoooaaarrrrr my WCW even though it's not Wednesday my Perrie winkle!!!!" Nelson posted on Instagram, captioning a sexy bikini shot of Perrie.
Safe to say the single life looks good on Edwards!
