Ashley Tisdale is now a makeup pro—and she's taking notes from Kim Kardashian.
The Clipped actress sat down to chat with E! News' Maria Menounos about her up-close, personal (and four hour!) experience at Kim's makeup master class with her glam squad bestie Mario Dedivanovic (ICYMI: The beauty expert posted makeup before and after snaps of Kim from the class to Instagram on July 25).
Ashley attended the makeup marathon tutorial after getting glammed up by Mario for the 2015 Tony Awards: The beauty look he crafted at 7 a.m. lasted through the day, night and a change of time zones (Tisdale flew home to Los Angeles to watch the Tonys after attending the awards show in New York). There also may be a chance she wanted to spruce up her skills so she could offer beauty tips and tricks on her new lifestyle website, The Haute Mess.
"Me being who I am—I sometimes do my own makeup for events. I will be like ‘I can just do it myself.' I am that type of chick. But I wanted to learn to get better at makeup," Tisdale explained. "And I sat there for four hours and I watched [Kim] get her makeup done," she added, laughing.
The newly strawberry "bronde" star described Kim without makeup as "very beautiful"—and we have to agree (you've seen that fresh-faced selfie, right?). The lesson paid off: Tisdale left with "four pages of notes" that included what products to use for the best smoky eye and other must-know makeup hacks.
