Everyone, rest at ease!

The set from The Late Show With David Letterman has been saved from demolition. It now rests in the hands of Fusion's The Chris Gethard Show. The reproductions of the George Washington Bridge and Brooklyn Bridge were unveiled Tuesday afternoon during a live stream.

Although the heroic gesture was exciting in it of itself, the saved sets served another important function: They were the backdrop for one of three weddings the host put on alongside Will Ferrell, per A.V. Club. Sadly enough, not all of David Letterman's set was salvaged, as members of the crew were seen tearing apart the set and throwing the pieces in the dumpster outside of the Ed Sullivan Theater.

The crew wasted no time either, as they were required to be onset at 8:00 a.m. the morning after Letterman's goodbye party. Guess they couldn't have too much fun at the MOMA, where the Foo Fighters, Jim Carrey, Tina Fey and more gathered to fete the host.

Don't worry about the set though, as some fans, including staff members from The Chris Gethard Show, picked some out of the trash to keep. Who wouldn't want to take a piece of a long-running show? Remember when Kramer discovered the discarded set of the Merv Griffin Show?

Not only did he perfectly recreate the show's set in his apartment, he also pretended to host it and even have "guests" stop by his talk show. All Seinfeld fans know how his rebooted talk show turns out, but if you don't, here's a spoiler alert: It gets destroyed.

The episode in which Letterman's sets will be used as a wedding backdrop airs June 25 on Fusion.
