He's baccckkk (well, almost)!

Less than a month after Sam Smith underwent vocal surgery after a "small hemorrhage" was discovered on his vocal cords, the "Stay With Me" singer announced via Twitter on Tuesday that he will soon be returning to the stage when his tour restarts on July 3.

Smith was unable to speak for three weeks while recovering from the operation and in the clip posted on his social media page, he's clearly looking forward to reconnecting with fans.

"As you can see, I can speak, again for the first time in three weeks, and it has been horrible sitting in silence and knowing that I should be doing shows has killed me," he said. "But, finally, I have some good news and that is I'm going to be starting all my shows up on the 3rd of July."

"And it's all as planned," the Grammy award winning singer continued. "I'm gonna try my absolute best to sing my heart out, every night, but please bear with me as always. I love you all!"

The three-time Brit Award winner was previously forced to cancel his Australian tour in addition to dates in Tokyo, France, Monaco and The Philippines. "Very upset about Japan and Manila dates," Smith wrote on Instagram at the time. "I've just left Australia and I'm on my way to the states to see a specialist to see what to do from there...This is f--king horrid."

The "Lay Me Down" crooner also opened up about his vocal surgery in a recent BBC Radio 1 interview, during which he admitted he has yet to sing properly since undergoing the operation

"I've just been like singing in the shower and stuff. I'm just trying to take it slow," he said. "I've got two more weeks chill time. My first show is 3 July which is Thetford Forest and from then I'm back on the normal schedule."

While Smith, who also recently adopted an adorable kitty, calls the break a "blessing in disguise," he admits, "it killed me to cancel all these shows" but he's thankful for the support of all his fans as he took time to recover.

"It was horrendous. It was so bad," he said of the surgery. "But I got through and everyone's been so amazing about it, so thank you."

As for how he survived while unable to speak for three weeks?

"I did use my phone, where you can type in what you want to say and it'll say it for you," he revealed before adding, "But it doesn't swear a lot, which is really annoying!"
