Kellan Lutz undoubtedly deals with cougars (of the human variety) all the time, but it's not every day he finds himself in the company of jungle cats like these!

Earlier this week, however, the actor and Bullseye host found himself surrounded by lion, tiger and leopard cubs during a visit to the Black Jaguar White Tiger Foundation in Mexico.

The 30-year-old Twilight alum Instagrammed a handful of photos that showed him joyfully playing with the baby animals. One particular snap shows Kellan surrounded by cubs—a few of which are playfully nipping at the him with their tiny teeth! He captioned the adorable pic, "So, I guess I'm apart of the PRIDE now...@blackjaguarwhitetiger #saveourplanet #behuman#notpets #blackjaguarwhitetiger"

Kellan visited the Black Jaguar White Tiger Foundation to highlight the important conservation and rehabilitation work they do, but also to raise awareness about the fact that these wild animals, as he noted, are #NOTPETS. As the foundation's website points out, these magnificent creatures might look cute and cuddly (especially when they're young), but they "are powerful and unpredictable children of nature, not a pet or a toy."

Sadly, not everyone appreciates these cats for the complex beings that they are, and this inevitably leads to mistreatment, neglect and abuse at the hands of humans. Fortunately, organizations like the Black Jaguar White Tiger Foundation exist to rescue felines from dangerous and cruel conditions. Thanks to stars like Kellan, too, the foundation educates the public on why it's important to preserve these animals' natural habitats as best as we can.

If you're in dire need of some kitten cuddles, you can always visit your local animal shelter! Kellan adopted his furry friend there, and there are plenty of appropriate, domesticated #pets looking for their forever homes!

Kellan's new show Bullseye premieres Thursday at 9 p.m. on Fox.
