Congrats to Alison Pill and Joshua Leonard!
The 29-year-old actress, best known for playing Maggie Jordan on the HBO show The Newsroom, and her 39-year-old beau, who played himself in the 1999 The Blair Witch Project and now plays James Finnigan on Bates Motel, wed over Memorial Day Weekend.
The two got engaged more than four months ago. The wedding took place on Sunday at the Grace E. Simons Lodge in Los Angeles. Pill's rep told E! News it was a Quaker-inspired ceremony. And the bride wore yellow!
"We're married!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #pillnard," Pill wrote on Instagram, alongside a pic of herself and her new husband, standing in their wedding attire inside a bedroom.
The bride wore a 1930's vintage dress bought on Etsy, her rep said. The yellow outfit had a modest, square neckline and ankle-length mermaid-style skirt. The groom wore a black suit.
Actress Jennifer Lafleur, 35, who stars with Leonard in the film 6 Years, posted on her Instagram page a gorgeous pic of the newlyweds on the dance floor. The actor shared a video she captured, which shows the couple dancing to "It's Only Time" by The Magnetic Fields.
"This is love," Lafleur wrote. "Happy Wedding, Happy Life! @thejoshualeonard and @msalisonpill! #pillnard."
The happy couple, Pill's sister Katherine and other wedding guests also shared more photos from the wedding.
Leonard also shared pics of the wedding preparatons. The dads helped with the flowers!
Pill and Leonard got engaged four months ago. Early on Monday, Leonard shared on his Instagram page a photo of himself and his wife, wearing her wedding dress, showing off their wedding bands.
Pill's is a diamond eternity band, placed flush against her cushion-cut, halo-style engagement ring, while his is a thick gold band. "We got married, she ate toast," he wrote.
