InstagramLena Dunham may be turning 29, but she's still feeling like a girl!
The actress celebrated her birthday Wednesday afternoon on the set of her HBO series Girls. But don't think her special day was all work and no play.
Wearing a floral romper, the Golden Globes winner dropped some serious wisdom to her followers on social media.
"A modern birthday is really just a chance to see EVERYONE's bitmoji," she tweeted to her followers. "An adult birthday is personal thanksgiving and yeah, I give thanks for all of you."
She added on Instagram, " Feeling the love and the luck today. And that's hot." And yes, that a special tribute to Paris Hilton ladies and gentlemen.
Several close friends of Dunham were able to take time out of the busy schedule to wish their favorite Girls star a great day.
Ellen DeGeneres wrote, "Happy 29th birthday, @LenaDunham. Before you know it, you'll be changing the name of your show to ‘Women.'" Truth!
"Two incredibly talented, intelligent and hilarious women were born on this day. One I'm truly friends with. The other, I am friends with in my mind," co-star Andrew Rannells added. "Happy Birthday, Lena and Bea [Arthur]. I love you both."
While heartfelt wishes from your BFFs are great, some thoughtful gifts never hurt any birthday girl. Luckily, Dunham received one creative accessory we can't help but be a little envious of.
"Sobbed with joy over my Greer themed purse from @Greer_Lankton_Archives_Museum," she captioned on Instagram.
