Sticks and stones may break Jason Biggs' bones, but words will never hurt him.

The former Orange Is the New Black star came across a not-so-flattering story Monday morning in the press.

A New York publication tried to get a few clicks with the headline "Jason Biggs hits the gym after weight gain." They reported the 36-year-old was "getting encouragement from an instructor" while breaking a sweat at Barry's Bootcamp.

But perhaps the cherry on top to the piece was their American Pie reference as the article claimed Biggs was "sporting a paunch" while working out.

Instead of getting defensive or firing back, Biggs delivered a message that comes pretty close to perfection.

"Hey lay off me," he captioned on Instagram with a picture of the article. "My coke dealer has been in prison ok?" And yes, that's his signature humor so many fans love and admire.

Granted, some of his jokes have faced some backlash. His comments on the Malaysia Airlines plane crash bothered more than a few people. He also ultimately apologized to Tara Reid for criticizing her body.

His most recent post on Instagram, however, is hard to criticize.

Putting social media drama aside, Biggs has enough duties to attend to now that he's moved from Los Angeles to New York.

In addition to raising his one-year-old son with wife Jenny Mollen, Biggs is starring in The Heidi Chronicles on Broadway. Trust us, doing that much work on a stage can keep any person in shape.
