Jessica Alba is a boss who means business.
In the latest issue of More magazine, the 34-year-old beauty and Honest Company founder opened up about her business world bravado, revealing that she's "made people cry" because she's "straight to the point."
So, when E! News caught up with the Sin City star at the Baby2Baby Mother's Day Event in Los Angeles on Wednesday (Alba hosted Tiny Prints second annual Baby2Baby Mother's Day Party and unveiled the exclusive Baby2Baby birth announcement collection, which will help fund the purchase of 3,000 new cribs as part of Baby2Baby's Sweet Dreams initiative) we had to ask the mother of two why she's so tough on her employees, and clearly, Alba is a badass business woman at heart.
"I didn't mean to [make people cry]," she told E! News while looking gorgeous in a checkered print dress. "It just happens when you're just getting things done and you need to hit a deadline and you need something to be done. And if someone feels like, I don't know, they didn't step up to the plate, sometimes they cry. And I try to tell them it's not a personal thing. It's nothing about you and your character, you just need to get it done so we can still have that deadline."
Preach, girl!
"It's a reality," she continued. "You have to hit your deadlines and you have to be professional and you have to go above and beyond when you are launching a company."
And that is why the Honest Company has quickly blossomed into a billion-dollar business empire.
In addition to dishing on her business ventures, the brunette actress also shared whether she hopes to grow her family.
"I'm just happy to have healthy babies and—not right now—I'm busy," she said when asked if she has baby No. 3 on her brain. "I'm really busy! I love kids and I love babies, but right now, I can't imagine. It just started to get easy."
