After enduring heartbreak last fall, the twice-married singer has found love again with producer Charlie Ebersol. The "...Baby One More Time" singer hasn't said much about her boyfriend, but in People's Apr. 6 cover story, Spears, 33, reveals that Ebersol, 32, is "refreshing to be around and really lighthearted."
"My assistant introduced us," Spears says of Ebersol, whom she began dating six months ago. "I saw a picture of him and I thought he was really adorable, and she said he was good people, so I went for it."
For our first date he said, 'What do you want to do?' and I said, 'Cook for me,' so he made fish, mushrooms, avocado with a dressing, and tomatoes and mozzarella. It was amazing," the "If U Seek Amy" singer says. "There was something about him that made me feel really peaceful and at ease."
"He was really hot, too," Spears gushes. "Adorably hot."
Ebersol has consistently impressed Spears since they began dating. "For my birthday [in December 2014] we made waffles on the floor, with candles, and he bought me a real beautiful cake and a beautiful gift that I have on the wall. One of my favorite songs is 'Thank U,' by Alanis Morissette, and he put all the words to the song in a long frame," she says of his romantic gesture. "It was really thoughtful."
Ebersol, the son of an actress and an NBC Sports chairman, says Spears has an "enormous heart."
The couple's nights are relatively low-key. "I love Modern Family and Jane the Virgin! Charlie's into House of Cards, and the kids watch Impractical Jokers—I like that, too!" the singer tells the magazine.
Spears also reveals she's open to the idea of marriage and having "one more" child. "I am very satisfied with my two boys, but maybe in the future," she explains. "I would love a mini-me. That would be fun!"
The pop princess is the proud mom of Sean Preston Federline, 9, and Jayden James Federline, 8. She calls Ebersol's first meeting with her boys at a neighborhood restaurant "really beautiful."
For Spears, this is as good as it gets.
"I'm in a real good place in my life. I have a great show, and I'm able to be off every six weeks and I get to indulge in my kids. I get summers off, so we can do fun things like have barbecues," the "Till the World Ends" singer tells People, on newsstands Friday. "The boys are in such a good stage in their lives. They're able to think for themselves and are becoming little people. It's fascinating...I'm the happiest I've ever been. My priorities are straight: making family No. 1 and being consistent with that and having God in my life."
