We'll have what she's having.
Elle Macpherson, who will be 51 later this month, continues to defy the years in a most heartening way. Her bronzed bikini bod in all its super-fit glory was on display once again, this time during a beach shoot last week for Harper's Bazaar Australia.
"Wellness has been a way of life for @ellemacpherson and doesn't it show! In The Bahamas for @BAZAARAustralia today," WelleCo., the wellness and health supplement company Macpherson co-founded, tweeted last week. Perhaps with a little more time on her hands post pose-fest, Elle retweeted the complimentary post today.
The evidence? The still-pretty-super model knee-deep in the ocean in a skimpy black bikini that showed off her curves to perfection.
Not that any of this comes as a surprise.
Macpherson, whose empire includes her eponymous lingerie collection and a line of beauty products, has never really lost her reputation as "The Body." But the mother of two has shrugged at the idea that she's achieving anything special in the looks department just because she's 50.
"'Beauty at every age' is such a boring cliché, but beauty is not just reserved for youth," she said in the October 2014 issue of Ocean Drive magazine. "There's a big movement that supports that. I didn't feel any kind of milestone pressure turning 50 at all, perhaps because I've been preparing for this stage of my life for a long time."
"In my 40s, I started to focus on health and wellness; I stopped drinking and taking any drugs—even aspirin—and I began really cleaning out my system," she added. "By the time I hit 50, I didn't feel any sort of plateau physically, and it didn't feel like a shock emotionally either. It wasn't like, Oh my gosh, I'd better get myself together before I turn 50; it was more like I was reborn."
And she can't help that she popped out looking perfect.
