One day later and the hills are still alive with the sound of Lady Gaga!

After commemorating the 50th anniversary of The Sound of Music at the Oscars Sunday night, the Mother Monster caught up with E! News where she revealed her candid thoughts on the show-stopping moment.

"I started crying. It was a beautiful moment," she told E! News at the Vanity Fair Oscars party. "As a child performer and a music lover, you dream your whole life that you will get to perform for somebody like that and it was just magical."

That special someone was the one and only Julie Andrews who emerged onstage during "Climb Every Mountain." As it turns out, the special guest was a complete surprise to Gaga.

"I had just spoken to Julie on the phone the day before and she was telling me to just relax and enjoy myself and then when she came out at the end, it was the perfect moment. I can't even explain it," she shared. "It was a dream come true. It was a surprise."

She continued, "I think my nerves went away when I woke up this morning. It was much more nerve-racking planning."

And while Gaga loved her entire night, there's another love in her life that's not ending anytime soon. Yes, we're talking about Taylor Kinney.

Although she covered up her engagement ring with bright red gloves on the red carpet, the 28-year-old couldn't hide her excitement about her new relationship status.

"I don't know," Gaga shared when asked about any wedding plans. "We're just excited to be engaged." Congratulations on a great night, girl!
