SNL40 was Sunday night. You know this because every single celebrity in the history of celebrities was there. It was probably the most insane party that will ever take place, and you missed it. Sure, maybe you caught it on TV, but that's not the same as being there in person. And, you definitely weren't at the after party, which was even crazier and more awesome than the primetime special. Even more celebrities showed up, and they were drinking and dancing and having impromptu jam sessions and high-fiving each other for being at the most legendary bash ever.
In case you are still unsure of just how inferior your Sunday night plans were, let Jimmy Fallon convince you. He decided to dedicate exactly nine minutes of last night's Tonight Show to rehashing what was clearly the best night of his entire life. (Sorry, Birth of His Two Children.) Sure, Fallon is extremely famous in his own right, but deep down he's just the biggest fangirl in town. Gushing doesn't even begin to describe the manner in which he name-dropped his SNL40 experience.
Justin Timberlake. Chris Rock. Eddie Murphy. Paul McCartney. Jack Nicholson. Jerry Seinfeld. Kristen Wiig. Maya Rudolph. Tom Hanks. Martin Short. Steve Martin. Bill Murray. Paul McCartney. Dan Akroyd. Taylor Swift.
Those are just a few of the stars that Jimmy Fallon hobnobbed with, and you did not. Because he is Jimmy Fallon, and you are not.
But, luckily we common folk are able to relive this magical night. If you close your eyes and squeeze them shut very very tightly, it's almost like you were there. (Except not.)
