Lady Gaga and India.Arie Hug It Out After Unfortunate Security Guard Snub on the Grammys Red Carpet

The divas have a good laugh a few days later after Gaga's security got a little too vigilant when India tried to tap her on the shoulder

Security probably could've assumed that the other fancily dressed woman approaching Lady Gaga on the Grammy Awards red carpet meant no harm, but...

Well, security isn't paid to assume.

Because cameras are everywhere, someone captured India.Arie attempting to have a tête-à-tête with Gaga as they filed into the Grammys last Sunday, only to have the security guard at Mother Monster's left motion to the other singer to talk to the hand.

Cut to India.Arie holding up her hands in "whatever" fashion as she made her own way along the carpet.

But no hard feelings, of course!

Sources tell E! News that, once Gaga found out what had happened (you can see in the video that it looks like she didn't even feel anyone tap her on the shoulder), she took the opportunity at the Stevie Wonder tribute concert that taped on Tuesday to go right up to India and apologize. The ladies, both of whom performed in honor of Wonder, hugged it out and had a good laugh.

Of course, the aftermath of the non-incident played out on Twitter first after India dared to mention what happened on Feb. 9, tweeting," when I reached to speak to @ladygaga her security swatted my wrist - clapping something hard against my turquoise bracelet #Grammy2015 smh."

Her own fans rushed to her defense and sounded outraged, to which India replied, somewhat sarcastically, that Gaga didn't even see her, but the security guy was "doing his 'job.'" Then, of course, there were the Gaga fans who piled on India in return, promting the "Video" artist to write: "@jackwxlters: @indiaarie you are, you're trying to make people attack HER, she did nothing wrong, < pay attention and read my tweets."

Lady Gaga didn't tweet about it, because she was too busy shooting down a rumor that she had mistaken Ed Sheeran for a waiter, started by a fake Sheeran Twitter account.

Put enough artists under one roof, or on one red carpet, and misunderstandings are bound to ensue.

Just bumped into gaga she's fetching me a drink. God bless the press
