Well, John Oliver and Larry Wilmore. It's all up to you now.

Comedy Central gave us our gut check of the week today, confirming just as word started to get around that Jon Stewart really would be leaving The Daily Show sometime in 2015 after 16 years of being the voice of a generation (you know, college-age to older-but-still-feel-like-you're-in-college-and-then-you-got-your-parents-to-watch-too) and providing a guiding light that helped us wade through the muck and mire of political hypocrisy, electoral stupidity and the increasingly laughable state of cable "news."

To be honest, while this may not qualify as an actual tragedy, we are downright devastated and left a bit adrift as we imagine a world without The Daily Show WITH JON STEWART. Especially so soon after losing The Colbert Report .

And we're not the only ones...

Why did we just get even more depressed?

This is such crap. The Daily Show and The Colbert Report are/were the only two shows I made sure every day to never miss. Colbert left a couple months ago, and the only consoling thought was "At least Jon Stewart isn't going anywhere." Even though I've only been watching them for a year, they were one thing I knew I had to look forward to 4 nights a week. I've watched countless episodes from past years as well. It feels like I've been watching him forever. Stewart will finish out the year, and the show will continue after he leaves, but he can't be replaced. I hope he will be back on tv in some capacity, even though it wouldn't be the same. He's a true legend in my mind. #JonStewart #DailyShow #StephenColbert #ColbertReport #bullshit #sayitaintso
