Ryan Adams Walks His First Post-Split Red Carpet at the Grammys—See the Pic!

Rocker and Mandy Moore decided to divorce in January

It was a big night for Ryan Adams!

Not only was the rocker nominated for two Grammys—Best Rock Song and Best Rock Album—but Sunday night's award show also marked the performer's first red carpet since splitting from Mandy Moore after nearly six years of marriage.

Although he looked confident on the red carpet, Adams sadly was beaten out by Beck for Best Rock Album and Paramore ("Ain't It Fun") for Best Rock Song.

Donning a Canadian tuxedo (denim on the top and bottom), Adams accessorized his heavy jean look with pink sunglasses, shaggy hair and a black graphic tee. He, Blake Shelton and Dave Grohl all opted to skip out on the formalwear in favor of a more laid-back look.

Adams and Moore quietly announced their separation at the end of January. They don't have any children together.

"Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams have mutually decided to end their marriage of almost 6 years," reps for the duo said in a joint statement. "It is a respectful, amicable parting of ways and both Mandy and Ryan are asking for media to respect their privacy at this time."

Adams, 40, and Moore, 30, married in Savannah, Ga., in March 2009.

He had performed his Grammy-nominated "Gimme Something Good" on the Late Late Show only hours after announcing his split from the Princess Diaries actress, giving viewers an inside look at his inner turmoil.

The emotional ballad includes lyrics such as "I can't talk / My mind is so blank / So I'm going for a walk / I've got nothing left" and "All my life been shaking / Wanting something / Holding everything I have like it was broken / Gimme something good."
