If there's one man who could have predicted Taylor Swift's success with "Shake It Off," it may just have been Ryan Seacrest.

While working a stunning gown from Ellie Saab with purple shoes and Lorraine Schwartz jewels, the blond beauty traveled back in time to a 2008 interview from KIISFM's On-Air With Ryan Seacrest radio show.

When talking about new music, Seacrest asked about how relationships and breakups play apart in the song writing process.

"When you meet somebody that you connect with and maybe it doesn't go well, you do learn from that," Seacrest shared. "You grow from that."

Swift's reply may just shock you. "You learn, you really do," she explained. "I'm just trying to shake it off. I'm not ready to jump back into anything…"

So that's how "Shake It Off" was born?! Our minds are blown!

"Wow, that's weird! Who found that is what I want to know," she joked on Live From the Red Carpet after watching the clip. "That's wild. That's crazy that I said it. I guess I just used to say that a lot and now I'm nominated for ‘Shake It Off.'"

And not just nominated once but three impressive times. It's a special accomplishment for the singer who admitted to taking a big risk with her new album 1989.

"It's very special because I made a definitive choice to change lanes and I know I was risking alienating people and instead of doing that, everyone was open-minded," she explained to E! News. "I couldn't be happier to be nominated for three Grammys. The only song eligible was 'Shake It Off' and they gave it three nominations."

She added, "I'm just floating across the red carpet." As you should, T-Swift. We'll see you dancing in the aisle later tonight.
