Ashlee Simpson Ross and husband Evan Ross' first child together is going to be a girl, sources confirmed Thursday to E! News.
Asked if she was about five months along, the singer-actress smiled big and said "near there," talking to us today at the Crayola Color Alive launch in New York City, where she had 6-year-old son Bronx along with her for the kid-friendly event.
Ashlee looked lovely while posing for pics, her bump camouflaged by a trendy marasala button-down and her usual edgy style intact with leather leggings and fierce Ruthie Davis heels.
We caught up with the sweet duo after Bronx had done some coloring of his own, and when asked if he wanted his mom to have a boy or a girl, Bronx told E! News...
"A girl."
Phew!
Ashlee first broke the news to People earlier today, telling the mag she wanted to know the sex of baby No. 2 because "I want to do the nursery."
Presumably Ashlee's big sis, Jessica Simpson, will be called upon for decor support. And we imagine her daughter Maxwell won't mind having another girl in the family...
E! News was first to report in December that Ashlee was pregnant, not long after Evan told us he was interested in having "as many [kids] as possible."
