It's been seven months since Kelly Clarkson gave birth to her first child, a baby girl named River Rose Blackstock, and the American Idol singer is speaking candidly about her difficult pregnancy.

During a sit-down with ET Canada, the 32-year-old recalled how she suffered many complications, including losing her famous voice shortly after giving birth, and initially didn't know how to handle all of the her health concerns.

"Afterwards was the part where I literally had a moment where I cried and drank wine all day," she admitted.

"I was like, ‘Oh God, I'm not going to be a singer anymore.' I was bawling to my husband [Brandon Blackstock] and completely hammered, just going, ‘Oh my God, it's over. I don't know what I'm going to do I guess I could do more charity work.' I didn't know what I was going to do."

Clarkson opened up to Nick Grimshaw on BBC's Radio 1 Breakfast Show earlier this month and revealed that she was hospitalized during her pregnancy with little River Rose.

"It was just kind of a bad pregnancy," she explained. "So I had to take off way more time than normal."

But Clarkson is back in action now, thankfully, and she is releasing her sixth studio album Piece by Piece on March 3.
