The Girls star, who arrived at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards in a simple yet stunning long red Zac Posen dress, made sure to take the proper precautions before hitting the red carpet tonight in Beverly Hills—and we have (hilarious) visual evidence.
Girls producer (and Lena's BFF) Jenni Konner shared a racy yet hysterical snapshot on her Instagram of Dunham wearing nothing but her nude nipple pasties. "#FREETHENIPPLE cover. @lenadunham," she captioned the pic.
Dunham, whose date tonight is co-star Andrew Rannells, also revealed to Ryan Seacrest that she's taking a break from Twitter.
"I deleted Twitter because I'm trying to create a safer place for me emotionally," the TV star explains. "People threaten my life and tell me what a cow I am."
She continues, "I check it occasionally but it's not the same co-dependence that Twitter and I once shared. There's a lot of people I love on Twitter, but unfortunately, you can't read those without reading the deranged Neocons telling you you should be buried under a pile of rocks."
