At this rate, Andrea Canning will indeed be able to start an all-girl band in her house...or at least a Brownie troop.

The NBC correspondent and mother of four daughters is pregnant again—and yes, it's a girl! This will be the fifth child for her and husband Tony Bancroft, a United States Marine Corps major and fighter pilot, since they welcomed first daughter Anna Katherine more than five years ago.

Canning, known best for her work on Dateline NBC, said on Twitter on Wednesday that their baby is due in May.

"We are very excited!" Canning told TODAY.com. "It was a little unexpected since I am 42 now. Ironically this is one of the easiest pregnancies! I think there's something to be said for not trying and not having that pressure. We feel so lucky and blessed to have four healthy, beautiful girls and now a bonus baby on the way!"

"This is a classic example of what happens when you're chasing the one sex you don't have—a boy in our case," she added. "My husband, being a Marine and sports enthusiast, was looking forward to lots of Little League and football games. But we are apparently meant to have all girls and he's already got them into all kinds of sports! I am envisioning some kind of all-girl band."

Canning and Bancroft wed in 2008. In addition to eldest child Anna Katherine, they are also parents to daughters are Charlotte, 4, Kiki, 2, and Georgia, who was born last February. Canning is taking name suggestions for baby No. 5 on Twitter.

So what about baby No. 6? Try for a boy one more time?

"This is the last one!" she told TODAY.com. "We're done!"
