We already had our contest for the Best Animal Viral Video of 2014, but we may have jumped the gun a bit. Because this video certainly belongs in the top five, if it's not the absolute best video of the year.
At a Kanpur railway station in India, a monkey fell from the wires up above after receiving a nasty shock. His companion quickly came to his aid, but it appeared to be too late as the monkey who fell wasn't responsive. But his friend was not going to give up on him.
Commuters watched in awe as the monkey spent 20 minutes trying to revive his dying friend by shaking him, slapping his face and biting his neck. At one point he even dunks the other monkey in water, and finally, the injured animal wakes up. Bystanders filming the dramatic moment cheer and the heroic monkey drags his friend to safety so he could recover.
But all the words in the world could not do this incredible video justice, so just watch it and thank us later.
