Christmas has come early, Tom Hiddleston fans!

To make your season brighter, here is a YouTube a video of the 33-year-old British star, who plays Loki in the Thor and The Avengers movies, singing "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" with Nashville-based country singer Rodney Crowell, who also plays an acoustic guitar. And the actor is holding an adorable dog on his lap. The cuteness...we just can't.

The video was posted by a member of Crowell's management team, who said he and Hiddleston were taking a "short break to spread some holiday cheer at Rodney's studio with his wonder dog, Mono" while working on the soundtrack for the Hank Williams Sr. biopic I Saw the Light, in which the actor plays the legendary late country star. Crowell, 64, portrays his father, Elonzo Huble "Lon" Williams, and also works as the actor's vocal coach and as the film's executive music producer.

I Saw the Light is named after Williams' 1948 gospel song, one of his most popular tracks. The movie was filmed in October in Louisiana and is set for release in 2015. Other supporting cast members include Elizabeth Olsen and David Krumholtz.

"On a typical day in September, I watched him sit for a wardrobe fitting, read through four hours' worth of key scenes with the director and leading lady, spend another two hours with a dialect coach, and then, in order to lose the weight needed to look Hank Williams gaunt on screen, run seven wicked miles over hilly Tennessee terrain," Crowell said about Hiddleston on his Facebook page on Sept. 30.

"With those chores done, he'd then commit to six more hours of singing, over and over again, a very hard to master song like 'Lovesick Blues,'" he added. "And then, when he finally unlocked the mystery of yodeling the blues, hillbilly style, and was treated to a playback of his performance, responded by saying 'I can do it better, let me go again.'"

Hiddleston has also showcased his singing skills at events promoting Thor and The Avengers. Crowell said on his Facebook page on Oct. 31 that the actor can sing "quite soulfully."

This past August, Hiddleston and Crowell had performed Williams' 1940s hits, "Move It on Over," and "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry" at the 2014 Wheatland Music Festival in Remus, Michigan.

"Afterward, brimming with delight, he admitted, rather boyishly, that he'd never in his life performed with a band and had loved it," Crowell said.
