Back in action from a great week in the greatest city in the world, New York, New York. Seeing my family and friends while I get to work is one of the great joys of my job. What up to my sister Hannah, who is killing it at an organic grocery store in Long Island. Get that scrilla little Lyons!

However, after sit-down interviews with Sienna Miller and Steve Buscemi for their new indie flick Interview (did very well in limited release), Catherine Zeta-Jones, Aaron Eckhart, Abby Breslin and director Scott Hicks for No Reservations, and after a few nights on the town with Wilmer Valderrama, Danny Masterson, Eve, Keith Robinson and the homies from high school...I'm wiped!

All good, though, as I've got a great slate of films to take in this week in L.A. to help get me over the mid-summer hump. Here's what's up:

20th Century Fox/Fox Searchlight

I've heard nothing but good things about Sunshine, the latest project from director Danny Boyle (Trainspotting, 28 Days Later), starring Chris Evans. I'm going to check it out tomorrow. Also up this week is The Bourne Ultimatum, which I'm seeing Thursday.

Loyal readers know how much I love the Bourne franchise, which balances high-octane action with well-developed characters and storylines. I just hope the third one hits as much as the first two and continues to push the franchise forward instead of coming with the same old thing, like a lot of films in this genre end up doing.

Also on tap for this week in the Lyons Den are my Hairspray interviews, which you'll be able to check out real soon. From Travolta and Queen Latifah to Amanda Bynes, Zac Efron and newcomer Nikki Blonsky, I sat down with them all. The posters are plastered all over New York, and while at first I had my doubts about how the film will do, I'm now convinced the musical will be a smash hit. I guess it's true, "You can't stop the beat."

Glad to be back in La La land. As always, you can hit me with your questions, comments, complaints—whatever! Just holla.
