The future is here.

Walt Disney Pictures released the first trailer for Tomorrowland at Comic Con in New York City Thursday. Director Brad Bird and producer Damon Lindelof were on hand to debut the highly anticipated footage. The movie follows jaded scientist Frank Walker (George Clooney) and curious teen Casey Newton (Britt Robertson) as they work together to unravel the secrets of the mysterious place called Tomorrowland.

The trailer opens with Casey retrieving her belongings from property claim. She picks up a money clip, $47.32, a driver's license, a baseball cap, a pin and a pack of Beeman's gum. Pointing to the pin, Casey tells the police officer, "That's not mine." When she touches it—poof!—she transcends time and space.

Casey turns to Frank for help, who then asks her, "What if there was a place, a secret place, where nothing was impossible, a miraculous place where you could actually change the world? You wanna go?"

Hugh Laurie plays a brilliant scientist named David Nix. Other Tomorrowland cast members include Raffey Cassidy, Judy Greer, Kathryn Hahn, Keegan-Michael Key, Tim McGraw and Thomas Robinson. In addition to the filmmakers, Cassidy, Clooney, Laurie and Robertson made surprise appearances! "It is not lost on me that I'm spending my honeymoon at Comic Con," joked Clooney, who wed Amal Alamuddin last month.
