Continuing with their super-cute newlywed outings, Ashlee Simpson and hubby Evan Ross enjoyed another date night out this week when they went out to Hollywood hot spot Warwick on Wednesday night, and it looks like the celeb couple nearly avoided what we can only assume would be a horribly uncomfortable encounter.
E! News learns that Simpson's ex-boyfriend Ryan Cabrera and his girlfriend were also at the same venue around the same time. And sure, exes run into each other all the time, but this is a little different, because not only is he Ashlee's former flame, but Cabrera is also Ross' former best friend.
"Evan and Ryan used to be best friends way before Evan and Ashlee started dating, they've been friends for years. They weren't cool when Evan started dating Ashlee," a source tells E! News, and adds that the duo never seemed to reconcile their friendship.
Ashlee, who wore a long blue maxi dress with her staple black hat, and Evan, who coordinated with his ladylove by wearing a blue blazer, arrived at Warwick around 11:30 p.m. and stayed until 1:30 a.m. Meanwhile, Cabrera and his lady made their stop a quick one, arriving at the club around midnight and leaving nearly 45 minutes later.
Earlier in the week, Ashlee and Evan enjoyed the sweet sounds of Sam Smith's voice by attending his star-studded and sold-out concert at the Greek Theater in Hollywood. The pair joined a number of famous faces at the show, including Derek and Julianne Hough, Rihanna, Nicole Scherzinger and more.
