There's one Hollywood square Gary Collins won't be occupying—at least for now.

A Los Angeles judge has put the veteran TV personality's jail term on hold until Apr. 4, E! Online has learned.

Collins, 69, had been ordered to turn himself in to authorities by Thursday to begin serving a four-day sentence stemming from his October drunk-driving arrest, per instructions issued last month by Van Nuys Superior Court Commissioner Rebecca Omens.

No reason was given for the delay, according to a court clerk, and the Airport actor's attorney was unavailable for comment.

Collins got into his mess on Oct. 23, after an 89-year-old driver veered into oncoming traffic and smashed into Collins' Ford Explorer, causing it to careen into two parked cars in the L.A. suburb of Sherman Oaks.

Collins flubbed a sobriety test and was booked on misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence and driving with a blood-alcohol level above 0.08 percent. Two days after being released on $40,000 bail, he checked into a 60-day rehab facility.

After finishing his treatment, the host of The Home Show and Hour Magazine entered a no-contest plea in December. He was sentenced to four days in the slammer of his choosing and four years' probation.

He was also fined $500, ordered to perform 100 hours of community service and attend 26 Alcoholics Anonymous meetings as well as complete an 18-month alcohol-education program.

Meanwhile, Warren Gates, the elderly man who plowed into Collins' SUV, died from injuries sustained in the crash. Police determined the motorist was at fault and Collins did not face any additional charges.

However, Omens ordered the Circus of the Stars emcee to pay restitution for the damage caused to the parked cars, and he still faces the possibility of a civil suit.
