So many mixed emotions!
Fans of the The Hunger Games franchise got word late last year that a theme park based on the popular trilogy was in the works, and now we learn that Lionsgate is still pushing forward with the plan.
"During the quarter, we also continued to extend The Hunger Games franchise into new lines of business," Lionsgate executives reportedly told investors. "In addition to the mobile game partnership and The Hunger Games traveling museum we announced on the last call, we're deep into conversations with prospective partners on four continents to explore theme park attractions and other location-based entertainment opportunities."
Yay! Oh wait...
While the initial reaction from fans may be excitement, it quickly sinks in that the main plot of the trilogy is children killing children...and, well, that doesn't sound fun, so we really don't know how to feel about this.
