More celebrities have come forward to voice their opinion over the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Penélope Cruz, Javier Bardem and Pedro Almodovar were among several stars to publish an open letter in local Spanish papers slamming Israel for its role in the ongoing violence in the Gaza Strip and Israel.

According to multiple media reports, the letter described Israel's actions as "genocide" and said that "Gaza is living through horror these days, besieged and attacked by land, sea and air.

"Palestinians' homes are being destroyed, they are being denied water, electricity [and] free movement to their hospitals, schools and fields while the international community does nothing."

The letter urged Israel to "lift the blockade, which the Gaza Strip has suffered for more than a decade."

They also asked the country to "open border crossings to facilitate the mobility of the population, the entry of medical equipment, medicines and food."

Just last week, Bardem wrote a similar piece for El Diario, saying, "I am disgusted, embarrassed and hurt by so much injustice and murder."

He added that the attacks are "difficult to understand and impossible to justify. These children are our children."

Madonna also spoke her mind about the crisis via her Facebook page.

The pop icon posted a snapshot of several beautiful flowers in vases and wrote, "These flowers are like the innocent children of Gaza! Who has a right to destroy them? No one!!! Cease fire! #peaceinthemiddleeast."
