Bad news, Barbz, Nicki Minaj has delayed the release of her upcoming single "Anaconda."
The 31-year-old rapper took to Twitter on Sunday to let fans know that the song's debut has been pushed back a week and will now hit airwaves on Monday, Aug. 4.
"My darlingz, I've pushed the release of Anaconda to next week, Monday 8/4. I promise you will understand why before the week is out. Loveeeeeeee uuuuuu," the "Super Bass" beauty wrote.
But luckily, it was all bad news for Minaj's loyal fan base as the message was accompanied by another super-hot shot of the singer, in which she's sporting a pink G-string and matching sports bra (just like the "Anaconda" cover) while leaving little to the imagination.
And while it's not quite as revealing as the racy cover art, the image is sure to raise some eyebrows.
Minaj found herself on the receiving end of criticism last week when she released the cover art for her upcoming single. The scandalous shot sees Minaj wearing a pink sports bra, matching G-string and Nike tennis shoes as she flaunts her famous booty for the camera.
In response to the backlash, Minaj took to Twitter to defend the photo, sharing a series of sexy and "acceptable" Sports Illustrated shots in an effort to prove that her pic is no different.
But despite insisting that she's unconcerned with the criticism, it seems that the many "Anaconda" memes have indeed upset the singer.
"IG HAS NO CHILL," she captioned a Lion King meme which has been making the Internet rounds.
"The Statue of Liberty tho yall? Praying yall find yall chill on this fine Sunday," she wrote of another pic.
"I'm sad," Minaj wrote as the caption to the mock image.
No word yet if the single's delay is due to the negative response to the cover art.
But we have a feeling it won't stop Nicki from flaunting her world-famous assets
