Kim Kardashian Gets a Dose of E!

Finally, some private footage of Kim Kardashian she actually wants the public to see.

While the plug has been pulled on Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie's televised exploits, the next-generation socialite is wasting no time in filling the dynamic duo's reality-show shoes.

The 26-year-old Kardashian, a frequent Hilton hanger-on and paparazzi target in her own right, is set to star in her own family-oriented, as yet untitled reality show for E!, debuting on the cable net this fall. (E! Online is a division of E! Networks.)

The series, featuring Ryan Seacrest as executive producer, will follow Kardashian's increasingly hectic life of boutique owner by day, burgeoning tabloid fixture by night, and also delve into the goings-on of the entire Kardashian brood.

The show will also feature her sisters/rivals Khloe, 23, and Kourtney, 28, who first exercised her reality show chops on E!'s Filthy Rich: Cattle Drive last year; half-sisters Kendall, 11, and Kylie, 9; momager Kris; and Olympic gold medalist stepdad—and sole non K-initialed family member—Bruce Jenner. (Her father, the late Robert Kardashian, was a high-powered attorney and member of O.J. Simpson's Dream Team.)

There's no word yet on whether Kardashian's camera-friendly stepbrother Brody Jenner will make the occasional appearance.

While Kardashian recently grabbed headlines when a leaked sex tape of her made the Internet rounds, the show won't just focus on the darker side of fame.

"At the heart of the series—despite the catfights and endless sarcasm—is a family that truly loves and supports one another," Seacrest said. "The familiar dynamics of this family make them one Hollywood bunch that is sure to entertain."

Last February, Kardashian filed an invasion-of-privacy lawsuit against Vivid Entertainment, a porn production company that had obtained X-rated footage of the celebutante with then boyfriend Ray J. Vivid quickly began hyping the release of Kim Kardashian Superstar in DVD and download formats, leaking some choice pieces of footage around the Web.

In April, however, Kardashian reached a multimillion-dollar settlement with Vivid, which paid her a reported $3 million for the ordeal and agreed to take the video off the market by the end of May.

The announcement of the Kardashian show comes just a week after E! confirmed that the current season of the Hilton-Richie-powered The Simple Life would be the last.

Earlier this year, E! announced another celebrity-chronicling show, this one featuring Snoop Dogg, set to hit the airwaves in late 2007.
