Brigitte Nielsen is trading The Surreal Life for the sober life.

The actress and reality-TV star's manager confirmed Thursday that she has checked into rehab, although he declined to say when she took the plunge, where she went or what she's being treated for.

"I wish her the best of luck," Nielsen's pal and manager Steven Tempone told CelebTV.com, which reported that her facility of choice is in North Hollywood. "She has been a dear friend of mine for over 20 years. This was a decision she made on her own, and I love her and I am glad she's getting help."

The 6-foot-1 former model turned 44 on Sunday. "I hope that when she gets out we can celebrate our birthdays together," Tempone said.

Nielsen, erstwhile wife to Sylvester Stallone and paramour to Arnold Schwarzenegger and Flavor Flav, appeared on the third season of VH1's C-list celebrity fest The Surreal Life in 2004.

After pairing up unexpectedly with Flav, the two graduated to the spin-off series Strange Love, and later Nielsen turned up on Flavor of Love, as the ex who quizzes down the wannabes vying for the rapper's affections.

The long-legged Beverly Hills Cop II criminal appeared earlier this year in The Surreal Life: Fame Games, where she voluntarily quit in the fourth episode. Onetime Baywatch babe Traci Bingham went on to bank the $100,000 grand prize.

Nielsen's increasingly chronicled quest for love ended—at least for the time being—happily in July 2006 when she tied the knot with Italian bartender Matia Dessí, who is 15 years her junior. It was the Danish actress' fifth trip down the aisle. Ivana Trump served as maid of honor.

Hubby number two was Cobra and Rocky IV costar Stallone, whom she was married to for about a year and a half back in the 1980s.
