Katie Cleary wants to set the record straight.

The Deal or No Deal model is currently mourning the loss of her estranged husband Andrew Stern, who committed suicide in Van Nuys, Calif., on Sunday by a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, E! News confirms, and is slamming reports that claim her friendship with stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Adrian Grenier has anything to do with Stern's death after she was seen with the two actors while recently in France.

Cleary's rep tells E! News, "Katie and Andrew have been separated and in the process of finalizing their divorce for a few months and her relationship with Leonardo and Adrian were simply platonic as she was there to promote her animal welfare documentary Give Me Shelter. We respectfully request her privacy be given at this difficult time and have no more comments on this matter."

Cleary was pictured hanging out with DiCaprio at the Gotha nightclub in Cannes just four weeks ago, and was also spotted out and about with Grenier while in France as well.

Stern filed for divorce from the former America's Next Top Model contestant on April 9, 2014, after nearly four years of marriage, E! News has learned. The pair have no children together and he cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for ending the marriage.

"Andrew and Katie have been in the midst of a very amicable separation and had remained on excellent terms," a close friend of the couple told People. "This is devastating news for us but we have been aware of Andrew's longtime struggle with depression."

Cleary has not personally addressed the tragedy. A public memorial service for Stern will reportedly be held on Saturday in Venice, Calif.

UPDATE: Stern's family released the following statement to E! News:

"It's extremely upsetting that our family's private tragedy has become public, and we'd like to ask the media to please respect our privacy as we grieve our only son.  This unwanted attention has resulted in several false & hurtful speculations that do not truthfully describe the devoted, unselfish, accomplished & proud man Andrew was.

"Andrew was an adored son, cherished friend, successful businessman, adventurous athlete, passionate animal rights activist & humanitarian. No one is without flaws, but Andrew was a giving & generous spirit who touched so many lives in a positive way. For those of us who loved him, there will never be an answer to 'why?' We choose to honor his memory by remembering how he lived, not how he died."
